Faversham Miniature Railway, is the only 9inch Gauge Miniature Railway open to the public in the UK.
The railway is based in the National Fruit Collection Orchards at Brogdale Farm in Faversham, Kent.
Currently Faversham Miniature Railway is the only 9inch Gauge railway in the UK open to passengers and too our knowledge it may even be the only one of its kind open to the public in the world.
The Railway is owned, maintained and run by the members Faversham Miniature Railway Society. This team of dedicated volunteers doesn’t just consist of railway enthusiasts, we even have a gardener or two.
Faversham Miniature Railway has now been at its current home for over 16 years and thanks to the volunteers it has grown from a few hundred foot of track to 1.2 Miles.
It has now become a well-known tourist attraction in Faversham attracting hundreds of passengers every week.
As the railway is run as a not for profit organisation, all ticket and event proceeds from our visitors directly fund the upkeep of the railway, allowing our team to keep this wonderful one of a kind railway open to the public.
